Verification chain

What each record establishes

Public key

Who signed

The permanent public key verifies signatures made with the corresponding private release key.

Signed manifest

What was fixed

Each release manifest records SHA-256 hashes for the files included in that site release.

Independent records

When it was observable

OpenTimestamps and archived public URLs provide evidence independent of the website's own date labels.

Historical record

Publication dates

Original publication dates remain separate from later English editions and site migrations.

Evidence status
Publisher record

Publisher record means that the date is stated in the retained publication or its source record. It is preserved as historical evidence but is not presented as a retroactive cryptographic timestamp.

Signed releases

Latest site release

The publishing command retains every signed release under its own permanent path. These stable links always point to the latest release.

Authorship and rights

The release signature verifies the authenticity and integrity of a publication. It does not replace the authorship and copyright information stated in that publication. Where other authors are named, or where more than one author is named, the copyright holders are the authors so named.
